Holladay became a city in 1999 and borders Murray, Millcreek and Cottonwood Heights. About 32,000 people live here (2020 Census).
Mostly 1950s to 1970s ranches, ramblers and split-levels on large lots. The city was largely built out by the 1980s, so most new homes are infill where an older house came down.
The median single-family home in Holladay sold for about $915,000 in the second quarter of 2026, higher than Millcreek, Cottonwood Heights, Sandy or Salt Lake City. By ZIP, the median was about $875,000 in 84117 and about $900,000 in 84124 (Salt Lake Board of Realtors).
Granite School District. Olympus High School is the city's public high school.
Holladay Village is the city center, and the old Cottonwood Mall site is being rebuilt as Holladay Hills, a mixed-use project with luxury condos and a five-to-ten-year buildout.
